So I'm sitting in my office (a.k.a. my assigned cubicle ;)), and I'm supposed to be making a lesson plan.  But I'm having some problems.  I left part of my brain at the Thanksgiving dinner table, and the rest of my brain has fast-forwarded to Christmas vacation.  O_O  Instead of planning class, I start having conversations in my head.  To make matters worse, those mental conversations are periodically interrupted by bursts of catchy Christmas tunes that have been stuck in my head since a Mannheim Steamroller concert I went to with family. It's that time of year again.  Finals.  Seminar papers.  Research.  Oh my!  And all I want to do is write.  This is not unusual.  I always experience a sudden burst of inspiration when school gets demanding.  There's just something about that pressure. . . I suppose that's part of the reason that I've stayed in school like I have.  I'm much more productive in the writing realm in the school context than I am under other circumstances.  Unfortunately, I really need to balance my creative impulses with homework responsibilities.
